Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Merintrade International LLP (“Skeddo”, “we”, “us”) governing your use of the Skeddo mobile application and website (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy and End User License Agreement. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Who can use Skeddo
You must be at least 13 years old and able to form a binding contract. If you use Skeddo on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you are authorised to bind that organisation to these Terms.
2. Your account
You are responsible for your account and for keeping your login credentials secure. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date. Notify us promptly of any unauthorised use of your account.
3. Groups and content
Skeddo lets organisations (“groups”) manage members, events, announcements, payments, and discussion. Each group’s owners and administrators control that group’s settings, membership, and content. You own the content you create, and you grant Skeddo a licence to host, display, and process it as needed to operate the Service.
4. Acceptable use — zero tolerance for abuse
There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour on Skeddo. You agree not to:
- post pornography, nudity, or sexually explicit or sexually suggestive material;
- post any sexual content involving minors, or child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — we remove it and report it to the relevant authorities;
- post graphic, gratuitous, or real-world violence, or content that promotes, incites, or glorifies violence, terrorism, or self-harm;
- post content that is otherwise unlawful, harassing, threatening, hateful, defamatory, obscene, or that infringes others’ rights;
- impersonate any person or organisation, or misrepresent your affiliation;
- harass, bully, abuse, or threaten other users;
- upload malware, attempt to breach security, scrape, or disrupt the Service;
- use Skeddo for fraud, spam, or any illegal activity.
5. Reporting, blocking, and moderation
You can report objectionable content or abusive users from within the app, and you can block users so they can no longer interact with you. We review reports of objectionable content and abusive users and aim to act on valid reports — including removing the content and ejecting the user who posted it — within 24 hours. Group owners and administrators are also responsible for moderating their group and may remove members or content.
6. Payments
Skeddo never holds your money. When you pay dues, an event fee, or a donation, you transfer it directly to the group’s own bank or e-wallet account, using the details that group has published in the app. You then tap “I’ve paid”, and someone in the group confirms it. Skeddo records that a payment happened. It never receives, holds, or passes on the funds, and it does not process card or bank credentials.
The group is the seller, not Skeddo. When you buy a ticket, pay dues, or donate, your agreement is with that group. The group is responsible for providing what it offered and for any refund. Skeddo is a listing and organising tool: we are not a party to that transaction and are not responsible for it.
Check who you are paying before you transfer. Before payment we show you the group’s name, the bank or e-wallet, the account number, and — where the group has provided it — the account holder’s name. If they don’t match who you expect to be paying, don’t send the money.
If something goes wrong, contact the group first, since they hold the payment. You can also report the group or the event to us from inside the app. We can investigate, remove listings, and suspend groups — but we cannot reverse or refund a transfer we never received and never held.
These are real-world goods and services (such as event tickets, membership dues, and donations to a group); they are not digital content sold by Skeddo. Your bank or e-wallet may charge its own transfer fee.
* In-app payments are planned, but are not available today. Once Skeddo’s Indonesian company is incorporated, we intend to add a licensed payment provider (such as Xendit) so dues and tickets can be paid inside the app. That is a future step, not how it works now: no such provider is connected today, and until one is — and until we have updated these Terms to say so — every payment is a direct transfer to the group’s own account, exactly as described above.
7. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, and the Skeddo name and logo, belongs to Skeddo and is protected by law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service under these Terms and the EULA.
8. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service or other users.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Skeddo will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, revenue, or profits arising from your use of the Service.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of Jakarta.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the new version here and update the “Last updated” date; continued use of the Service after changes means you accept them.
